Looking to start your career but don't know where to look? Do you enjoy working as part of a team and do you like driving? If you have answered yes, then we may have the role for you. we are looking for a Van Driver for our Tool Hire department at our new Branch in Whitstable, Kent due to open early June 2024  You don't need to come from our sector or even know our products, as long as you have the ability to provide great customer service, we will support you with a great onboarding experience and encourage you onto our TP development scheme. 


As a Tool Hire Driver you will start by driving customers' products to site and collecting, once you have been fully trained, you will get involved in repairing, testing tools and equipment to the Tool Hire standard. 


Hours - Monday to Friday 7am - 4.30pm and Saturday 8am - 12pm (you only work 2 saturdays in 4)  


Please note that applicants need to have a valid driving licence, a van will be provided during working hours to deliver our products.


You will be responsabe for doing your own Vehicle checks at the start of each shift. 

You will be required to do local multi drops and ocassional pick ups from other Branches. 

Dependent on the needs of the business you will be required at times to assist in our Yard and will use the Fork Lift Truck so FLT experience would be advantageous, however full training is given.

You need to be very Health & Safety conscious and very proactive.

There is an element of physicality required with this role.

What will I be doing? No one day is the same as the next in TP Tool Hire, but with your new found knowledge and experience, here are a few pointers:

  • Delivering and collecting a wide variety of tools & equipment to our customers.

  • Once trained, you will be testing and serving our tools / electrical and non electrical

  • You will support your Tool Hire Manager in managing all aspects of their department and business

  • Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, so you will need to adhere and be compliant to all Tool Hire processes and procedures.
