Are you an experienced senior Warehouse colleague looking for your first step into management or maybe a Warehouse Manager looking for a change? If you have experience of leading a small team or ready to manage a team and enjoy working outside and helping customers? Then we may have the role for you! 
 
The recently relocated Exeter branch is a successful branch with a large footfall of over 120 trade customers a day, so very busy.  Our Branch Manager has created a fun and professional atmosphere, they have 25 colleagues, a full tool hire dept and run 6 delivery vehicles. We are looking for future Branch Managers, so if you are willing to learn every aspect of branch life, are hard working and ambitious, we would love to hear from you.

We are succession planning, so if you are open to learning every aspect of branch life so that you can continue your career in management, we would love to hear from you.

Working hours - Monday - Friday, 7.30am-4.30pm and Saturdays 8am-12pm (working 2 in 4 Saturdays)

What am I responsible for?
  • People - As Warehouse Supervisor you will lead, motivate and engage a team of 2 Yard Assistants and one driver and ensure you work together as one. Ensure that succession planning is being used to drive talent sustainability, coach and mentor direct reports “rising stars” and management apprentices as required. Being based outside leading the external yard team, you will be processing our customer orders, loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.
  • Stay Safe - Set the tone and champion a Stay Safe culture across the branch at all times promoting a healthy workplace and colleague wellbeing. 
  • Customers - Developing strong relationships with branch customers in order to build profitable business growth.
  • Operations - Managing the full operation of the branch yard, ensure that adequate provision is made for customer deliveries, that branch layout is What Great Looks Like standards for safety, storage efficiency, housekeeping, and ability of customers to find products they might want to buy.
What experience do you need?
  • Warehouse/yard Manager experience would be preferred as well as operations experience.  We are looking for transferable skills including, Supervisory, Great Customer Service and Health and Safety.
