We are excited to announce that we are recruiting for a Data and Project Operations Assistant to join our team here in head office. The role is focused around the use of our in house document authorisation systems and full training will be provided.


Role Purpose

To ensure the efficiency and profitability of the company through our in house ODAS (Online Document Authorisation Systems)  management. To identify and address current procedural opportunities and training needs and to reduce losses. To support the Profit Protection Managers in driving down shrinkage losses by partaking in other shrinkage related initiatives.


Principal Accountabilities


  • To plan and support the delivery of  the ODAS shrinkage budget through key stakeholders and identify opportunities / make recommendations to the Profit Protection Management team.

  • To support the engagement, education and coaching of store teams by identifying training needs and delivering coaching sessions to reduce losses through ODAS.

  • Investigate closed invoice losses and recoup charges by liaising with store and purchase ledger teams.

  • Build relationships with Wickes commercial departments and supplier purchase ledger teams to enable better understanding and control of losses through ODAS.

  • Provide remote support to stores who require 1-2-1 assistance.

  • Provide MI both weekly and periodically to highlight concerns and drive compliance. Produce early warning data for STM’s and senior leadership to address at store level.

  • Support in other shrinkage reduction initiatives in conjunction with the Profit Protection Managers where opportunities exist.


What are we looking for:

  • GCSE Maths / English

  • Computer Literate in Excel 

  • Experience in use of Google sheets

  • Data Entry 

  • Worked in a customer facing environment

  • Worked in a fast paced environment

  • Good listening skills

  • Effective communicator

  • Able to remain calm under pressure

  • Can analyse and interpret data

  • Ability to coach and develop others

  • Stock management processes
