What you'll do
Toolstation is seeking a dynamic and experienced Delivery Manager to join our Technology - Projects & Portfolio team. In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of software, working closely with Agile development teams and various stakeholders.
About the Role:
As a Delivery Manager, you will act as a subject matter expert for your product and a key member of the delivery team. Your responsibilities will include keeping products organised, ensuring smooth operations, and keeping all parties informed of project progress. You will manage a team of Scrum Masters/Technical Product Owners, manage stakeholder relationships, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our software delivery processes.
Key Responsibilities:

Accountable for successful software delivery, from service to all change activities.

Manage stakeholders across the business, Technology & Digital department, and third parties.

Ensure software delivery aligns with technology objectives for service and security.

Provide leadership within the Software Delivery team and deputise for the Head of Software Delivery when required.

Manage relationships with third-party partners, ensuring alignment with standard ways of working.

Identify and execute areas for improvement and efficiencies using key performance indicators.

Contribute to the management of the Delivery Management sub-profession.

Drive value and change at pace in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll bring
What We’re Looking For:
-
Degree level education in Computer Science or a related subject, or equivalent industry experience.
-
Proven experience in setting up and adhering to agile software delivery processes.
-
Track record of delivering results and adapting to changes.
-
Experience managing stakeholders and delivering quality software solutions.
-
Strong people management and communication skills.
-
Knowledge of SDLC methodologies, Agile development, and DevOps pipelines.
Preferred:
-
Previous hands-on experience in Software Engineering.
-
Experience in line management of multi-skilled technologists.
