Job Description

Are you a Training Manager that has experience in supporting the training needs of commercial drivers? Are you a strong commercial influencer and negotiator? Are you a creative problem solver? Do you understand the types of issues that may affect driver safety? Here at Travis Perkins we are currently seeking four Driver Training Managers to join our HSE & Fleet team. 

What you’ll do

You will support the Head of Driver Safety with the development and implementation of the Group’s professional driver standards; this will include policy and training that is in line with the Group’s Fleet and Driver Roadmap and the strategic theme of ‘Professionalising the Role of the Driver’. Working closely with the Fleet Business partners to ensure that any training needs are identified and that we have comprehensive plans in place to address any gaps. You will be able to review data and then work with the business to identify those drivers that require further development to support their performance. 

Is this you?

You’ll need to take ownership of specific Fleet and driver training courses to ensure they are reflective of what the business needs. It is important that you have had experience of delivering training as any interventions will need to be delivered either face 2 face or virtually to our Driver community. You will need to have a HGV Class 2 licence and a proactive ‘can do’ attitude to be successful in this role.
