We are excited to announce we are recruiting for a Senior Operations and Property Finance Manager for our Finance team based in head office.


Role Purpose:


To partner the Store Operational Cost,  Property and Store Development teams. This role will be expected to partner the Store Operations team -  leading the dialogue around financial performance, identifying opportunities for challenge and improvement to drive profitable growth. 


In addition, this role partners the Property and Store Development teams - providing  financial investment appraisals for lease renewals, proposed new stores, refits and closures.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Support and challenge the central operations and property teams

  • Responsible for budgeting & forecasting of store variable costs, shrinkage and property costs

  • Develop and deliver financial investment appraisal and post implementation reviews to assure appropriate allocation of investment capital/revenue for the store operational areas of the business (e.g. refit, new store opportunities)

  • Ensure that appropriate financial controls and policies are followed in all aspects of accounting for the store operational areas of the business, including property development. 

  • Conducting monthly reviews of financial results with management to ensure that they are accurate, and identify any potential risks or opportunities. To include overseeing the month end and balance sheet reconciliation processes

  • Providing insightful reporting to help shape and deliver strategies of the wider business

  • Management  and development of a team a team consisting of one Finance Manager and two Finance Analysts


What are we looking for?


Qualifications:


  • ACA / CIMA / ACCA


Experience:


  • 2+ years pqe

  • Broad finance experience


Skills:


  • Ability to challenge and influence stakeholders

  • Team leadership and development

  • Proven record of implementing and maintaining robust financial controls

  • Well developed analytical capability with ability to understand both the detail and big picture


Knowledge:


  • Sound understanding of accounting/ control and investment appraisal principles
