Tool Hire Manager
Hire Manager - Forest Hill, Lewisham
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, and alternating Saturdays (8:00 am to 12:00 pm)
What you’ll be doing
As the new Hire Manager at Travis Perkins Forest Hill, you’ll be at the forefront of driving success and hitting key targets across a busy Hire department!
You'll lead a newly recruited, 3-person team, including a dedicated driver responsible for the delivery of our larger tool hire stock, who operate independently within the wider branch team of 20. The mid-sized Forest Hill branch is currently exploring planning options to expand the site, creating a fresh, modern space to further enhance the Tool Hire business. You’ll drive the continual integration of Hire into the wider Travis Perkins branch, enhancing the team's knowledge and understanding of the services available to support the upsale of additional tools, services, and stock. This team leadership will include delivering training and coaching where needed, in close collaboration with the Branch Manager, Paul - who is equally as motivated to support your training, development, and induction.
This is an exciting opportunity for a sales-driven, customer-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. If you’re ready to take charge and make an impact, this role is for you.
Your main responsibility will be to develop and execute a sales action plan that exceeds budget performance through a proactive sales approach. TP Forest Hill places significant emphasis on the success of Tool Hire within the wider branch's success and profitability, looking to turnover £40k per month through Hire.
You’ll be part of the UK’s biggest builders’ merchant with endless opportunities to grow and develop! You’ll be part of a supportive, friendly team where your skills matter… With over 500 branches across the Travis Perkins business, there’s always room to learn, progress, and make a real impact.
