Trainee Hire Driver
Keyline, the UK's top Civils Partner in the construction industry, is seeking a person to join us as a Trainee Hire Driver at our Keyline Branch in Reading on Elgar Road, Reading, RG2 0DP. As part of the branch team, you will play a vital role in our continued success, providing a first class service. You will need to be hands on and people focused to be successful for this role.
What will I be doing?
As our Trainee Hire Driver, you'll be responsible for:
Trainee Driver - "Warehouse to Wheels" for Tool Hire Driver will be loading our Hire Beaver tail vehicles and delivering goods to customers. Once trained you will need to sign the driver agreement
Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, this means maintaining a tidy and safe working environment.
Delivering the highest standards of service - the key thing is to be helpful and friendly at all times, you will likely get to know our customers on a first name basis
We will be looking to train up on our transit van then progress to the HGV Beaver Vehicle
Completing various drops throughout the day & can be a fairly reactive business, covering a wide delivery area
Physically moving various pieces of kit by hand
You will also assist within our warehouse
Does This Sound Like You?
Are you someone who:
Holds a HGV Category C licence
- Driving licence is mandatory, held for a minimum of 12 months
The knowledge of tool hire kit is not essential & training will be given on site
Has customer service skills & safety awareness
Is a team player with a strong work ethic
Has a friendly and outgoing personality, able to communicate effectively with customers
Able to speak with people at all different levels and develop and build strong working relationships with customers
