South East London - Kent

Do you have outstanding influencing and negotiation ability obtained in Sales/Account Manager role?  Are you able to write well-articulated proposals and reports in response to client needs, in addition to having the ability to identify and resolve issues?  If so, Travis Perkins have the perfect role for you. We are recruiting  an Account Manager for F&P in the South East!  Covering - South East London and Kent. 


Within this role you will maintain and develop a sales and customer base within the designated geographical area and increase revenue from these specified locations, as well as achieving or exceeding targets for F&P Products and services as directed by the Regional Sales Manager. 


Duties include:

  • Maintain and develop relationships with a portfolio of customers with the aim of establishing increased sales as the clients preferred supplier of bathroom, heating and plumbing products and services
  • Ensure there is a good level of understanding and knowledge of F&P's products and services, ensuring customers enquiries can be dealt with accurately and appropriately
  • Report or update any market information or competitor activity as necessary
  • Speak positively and enthusiastically about the company and its products and services, to ensure that a professional company and brand image is provided at all times to customers and colleagues
  • Create and manage the 'Account Development Plan' for each customer, which clearly maps out a development strategy. This should contain both short & medium-term goals with agreed measures & milestones
  • Achieve targets as defined in each clients 'Account Development Plan' and Achieve client retention percentages in line with the agreed 'Account Development Plan'
  • Represent F&P as the key customer interface in the nominated accounts and influence decision makers 
  • at all levels
  • Identify opportunities for increased revenue from the client base for all products and services
  • Negotiate new and amended client contracts within agreed parameters as appropriate
  • Assist in the process of good debtor control as required
  • Maintain accurate customer records, files and discount terms applied
  • Achieve improved customer relationship measurements (through the use of CRM)
  • Build knowledge of the market in which specific accounts operate
  • Provide regular updates, forecasts and report results to the Area Sales Manager to agreed timescales.
