Apprentice Customer Service Assistant

We are BSS, a British specialist distributor of heating, ventilation, pipeline, and mechanical services. We are also part of the well known Travis Perkins Group and this opportunity is based in our branch in Slough. Our working hours also offer a great work life balance - most of our customers choose to enjoy their weekends and bank holidays which means you can too! Our opening times are 6am-4pm and you will be required to work full time throughout the week (a 40 hour week).

Joining our family as an Apprentice, you’ll be supporting customers that come into your branch. You’ll handle requests, give information on products, provide quotes and help each person with their purchase, taking our sales from good to great. The key thing is to be helpful and friendly – the perfect assistant for customers that you’ll likely get to know by name. No one day is the same as the next in BSS branch life, but here are a few pointers:

• You will be serving customers on the trade counter proactively promoting new initiatives and promotional activities.
• You’ll work within the branch, maximising sales at every opportunity and expanding our customer base.
• You'll be dialling out and answering any incoming calls.
• You'll be supporting the warehouse.

You don’t need any previous experience to be considered for this role but for the best chance of securing yourself a place you’ll need to be someone who:

• Knows what great customer service looks like – and how to provide it
• Is passionate about sales and building relationships
• Loves to learn, develop and expand their knowledge
