Looking for a new challenge, maybe a new industry, do you have exceptional Customer Service experience along with Sales and some Supervisory experience, then look no further, we have a great management role for you.  Due to an internal move, we are looking for an Assistant Branch Manager in our Bishop Auckland branch.

This is a great first branch to really understand how Travis Perkins branches operate and you don't need to come form our sector or know our products!  Really?, Yes !

Where will I be based?
The Bishop Auckland branch is on Maude Terrace, its a fast paced branch with between 60-100 Trade customers a day, the branch has 9 experienced colleagues and 2 delivery vehicles.  The Branch Manager has created a friendly, vibrant atmosphere with a family feel, so a nice environment to join.  We are planning long term, so we are looking for future Branch Managers, so if you are willing to learn every aspect of branch life, are hard working and ambitious, we would love to hear from you.

Opening Hours - Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm and Saturdays 8am -12pm, you don't have to work every Saturday, our colleagues do 2 in 4.  
We work on shifts 7am-4pm or 8-5pm - this can be discussed at interview stage and we are flexible to suit you lifestyle.

What will I be doing?
No one day is the same as the next in TP branch life, now that you have your new found knowledge, and induction, here are a few pointers:
  • With your learned knowledge of the products and services we offer, you will be a pivotal contact for our customers, nurturing great relationships, understanding their needs in order to offer expert advice and recommending alternatives to meet their individual needs and maximise the sale of goods.
  • Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so it’s essential that you can help coach a team to deliver the highest standards of service.  
  • Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that all our colleagues and customers leave the Branch safely, by adhering to all stay safe policies and procedures.
  • Being operational aware, you will support the Branch Manager in managing all aspects of the Bishop Auckland Branch and business.

What experience do you need?
We really don’t mind what sector you come from, if you have merchanting experience, it would be advantageous, but not essential, we just want your transferable skills, supervisory, sales experience and great customer service.
