This is your opportunity to stamp your personality across a whole Category, supporting the Category Manager with the implementation of product category strategies for the Plumbing and Heating Division and the wider Travis Perkins Group. You’ll own the customer proposition, you will drive innovation of new products, influence the trading margin and mix - and support the wider Commercial Strategy in growing and managing our product base and business performance.

It is an exciting role touching all areas of our commercial operation, and this role will be a development role towards progressing into category management.

What we're looking for:

We are looking for someone that has experience within the industry, currently in an Assistant Category role or a Category/Buying Assistant or similar role and ready to take that next step into the Assistant Category Management arena.  You will be highly numerate, a confident decision maker, have both influencing and negotiating skills and be able to demonstrate your drive, enthusiasm and continuous improvement outlook.
