Assistant Fixed Asset Accountant

Due to career progression moves within our team, we have an exciting opportunity for an ‘Assistant Fixed Asset Accountant’ to join our Fixed Asset Team, part of the Finance Shared Central Services Department, based in Northampton.

Reporting to the Capital Reporting Manager you will support fixed asset reporting across all businesses within the Travis Perkins Group.

Part of a close knit team you will assist in achieving key departmental deadlines.You will manage the accounting process, through maintaining the fixed asset register and producing monthly journals - ensuring that the business receives timely and accurate financial information. You will also produce balance sheet reconciliations and the monthly fixed asset schedule for the Group capital reporting process, and produce documents and provide information to support ledger entries and the asset register during audit reviews.

With a continuous improvement mindset, you will take the lead to resolve issues as they arise and you will also undertake investigations/queries raised by the wider business on the monthly accounts. Depending on issues that arise, small projects may need to be undertaken and you will be proactive and driven to complete these.

Joining a dedicated team of four you will utilise your strong excel skills and accountancy knowledge. You will already have graduated with a relevant accounting degree or be part qualified CIMA/ACCA with the drive to continue your studies, and we can support you with achieving your goals, by continuous professional development.
