We are looking to recruit an Assistant General Manager to join our distribution centre in Northampton...
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the Profit and Loss account for distribution service of a FTSE 250 business
Management of warehouse operations & 3rd Party service providers
Create a working environment that is genuinely committed to ensuring “everyone returns home safely at the end of each day, every day”
Create and manage an excellent working environment that provides security, consistency and reliability for the company and enjoyment, opportunity, development and learning in a safe environment for all staff
Develop a culture of continuous improvement and demonstrate year on year improvement
Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organisation standards
Ensure the ongoing critical review of plant, processes and equipment and establish a best practice approach to logistics technology
What are we looking for?
In depth understanding of warehousing and distribution operations
Excellent people management skills and leadership qualities
Excellent communication skills to all levels of the Business
Excellent customer (internal and external) skills, ability to influence and create trust
Health & Safety driven
Proven track record of effective business unit management
