We’re expanding our digital team and are looking for an analytical and commercially minded Assistant Online Trading Manager to join us at City Plumbing.

Joining an ever-growing digital function you’ll be supported by a strong eCommerce team that has seen strong sales growth of 100% online for the past two years. It is because of this growth that we are now in a position to bring new talented individuals into the business and help further drive forward our online offering!

The Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic Online Trading Assistant or Digital Commercial Specialist to join our digital and eCommerce function. Your main purpose would be to create plans and track them to deliver sales and margin targets. These must meet the business needs, whilst also improving the overall customer experience on site.

Areas of focus include:

• Creating strategic sales plans ensuring sales targets can be met in line with margin targets for online -whilst also taking into account implications for wider business plans.

• Meeting with the commercial teams to report on specific categories’ online performances. You’ll also need to report on trading performance to the wider business.

• Help with the day-to-day running of the website with the team to deliver the best customer experience.

• Help drive digital focus by supporting our wider teams.

• Work on additional projects to enhance our digital offering.

This is a remote-based role with minimal travel into our head office is based in Crick, Northamptonshire. 

This means you could be from areas such as Birmingham, Corby, Coventry, Hinckley, Kettering, Leamington Spa, Leicester, Loughborough, Lutterworth, Market Harborough, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Northampton, Nuneaton, Oundle, Peterborough, Rugby, Rushden, Tamworth, Wellingborough, as well as Crick Itself.

Required skills and competencies:

• Previous experience in a digital, online trading, or commercial role.

• Comfortable managing senior stakeholders within the business when reporting on trading figures.

• Knowledge of Google Analytics or similar. 

• Strong team ethic, and willing help and mentor others around you.

• Excellent time management and communication skills.

It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: Digital Marketing, Online Trading Executive, Online Trading Manager, eCommerce Executive, eCommerce Manager, Digital Merchandising, Digital Analytics, CRO, Digital Optimisation.
