Joining our family at Timber Direct as a Branch Sales Assistant, you’ll help the team deliver a great experience for customers and suppliers alike. You’ll do this by ensuring our processes are as slick and trouble-free as possible and, when issues do arise, use your problem-solving skills to resolve them quickly and prevent them happening again.

Your day will be busy with order processing, maintaining distribution lists and stock availability, together with ensuring all sales calls are answered and resolved in a timely manner.

To help the team deliver a top notch service we’re looking for the kind of person who is:  
  • A natural people person – great with customers, colleagues and suppliers  
  • Fantastically well organised and able to juggle competing priorities
  • Possess a “can do” attitude and always be looking at ways to improve our customer experience
  • Knowledge and experience within a similar industry, including timber products and distribution
  • Someone who loves problem solving and possesses an “I’ll sort this!” approach!
  • Great with spreadsheets and invoicing systems

About Timber Direct
​Timber Direct is a specialist timber importer with a team of six working as a division of Travis Perkins Plc.  Products are carefully sourced from selected sawmills throughout Scandinavia and Europe.​ We service both an external and internal customer base supplying timber for construction, joinery manufacture and decorative purposes. We pride ourselves on our rapid response to customer enquiries and outstanding customer service.
