Job Description

Business Intelligence & Fraud Analyst

Location - Gloucester

Division - Plumbing & Heating

Grade: C6

We have an excellent opportunity to recruit a Business Intelligence & Fraud Analyst to be based in the Gloucester region.

Reporting into the Security Manager, you will pay a key role in identifying fraudulent activity and other loss to the business by applying data interrogation techniques and skills that provide leading edge design and development of analytics and reports. You will provide key intelligence in the form of evidence or information that supports both criminal detection and Loss prevention, communicating to the different elements of the business through a reporting structure.

Your key accountabilities include:

  • Providing pro-active analytical techniques to evaluate and assess business intelligence, data and information gathered from multiple sources.

  • Create and deliver evidential files for secondary investigation and development by members of the Security team, ensuring any ad hoc reporting requests are evaluated and implemented where appropriate.

  • Provide responses to enquiries from police, governmental departments, etc. for information and evidence in support of criminal investigations. In accordance with the Data Protection Act (1998).

  • Develop an understanding of fraud behaviours and minimise losses incurred by City Plumbing due to fraudulent activity.

  • Assist in the development of new analytical insights / reports for both internal and external customers.

  • Ensure the secure handling of and dissemination of material in accordance with legislation and best practice.

  • Build and maintain relationships with aligned stakeholders within City Plumbing, and with external partners and groups.

  • To identify and establish key relationships within the business that support collaborative working to allow the sharing of ideas and information.

Essential requirements

Although having experience in Fraud Analysis would be an advantage, you will ideally have experience of providing accurate, factual and concise Business Intelligence.
