We have an opportunity to join our Group IT team as a Business Intelligence Engineer where you will be delivering high quality and innovative analytics solutions through the utilisation of the latest cloud based technology. 

What you’ll do

As a Travis Perkins Business Intelligence Engineer within Group Business Intelligence you will be responsible for building analytics solutions based on our Google cloud data lake. Working collaboratively with our varied business stakeholders and other engineers within the team, you will be delivering agile data and analytics solutions that have bottom line impact for our business.

The Engineer provides technical expertise for the build, test, implementation and automation of our Business Intelligence solutions. As well as delivering more traditional analytics, this role will also have opportunities to drive more cutting edge capability such as Machine Learning and Artificial intelligence.

Is this you?

Do you have experience of implementing enterprise reporting systems and a Data warehouse in a cloud based environment? Can you demonstrate a background of working with business stakeholders in a Business Intelligence self service environment? Can you utilise Business Intelligence dashboard technologies such as Qlik or Tableau? It would be really beneficial if you have used advanced analytics tools such as SAS, SPSS, Python and R, with agile, Scrum and iterative software development. You will also need to know how to design and develop by using the following technologies: Qlik (Sense & nPrinting), Matillion, Google BigQuery, Google Data Studio.
