Do you have a passion for decarbonisation? We have a need for an energy Specialist to join the group as a Carbon Reduction Manager. With exciting progressional opportunities this could be your next best move!

What you’ll do

On our path to Net Zero we have a requirement to find a Carbon Reduction Manager to help us achieve our Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon reduction targets. Across a vast estate of buildings there are lots of opportunities to reduce carbon. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to come in and influence stakeholders and manage carbon reduction projects. 

The built environment of Travis Perkins is vast and this is a great opportunity to manage and coordinate the investments into energy saving projects to decarbonise our branches, offices and distribution centres. Someone with experience in low carbon technologies such as LED, Air Source Heat pumps, Solar PV etc. 

We require someone who is keen to get involved and hands on, there will be elements of travelling to sites across the UK. Communication is also important as working with stakeholders from all across the business will be fundamental to the smooth running of this project. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to come in and make this project their own while working alongside and partnering with our construction, fleet and sustainability team so that we can successfully achieve our Net Zero Carbon targets.

As well as running current projects the role will also give you the opportunity to innovate and find new technologies and new ways of working within our branches to formulate the ‘branch of the future’.

A keen eye for detail is important as well as being organised and engaging. 

Is this you?

It would be great if you already have experience in energy management or project management and have an energy management qualification or degree. You will have a good knowledge of world energy affairs and the willingness to learn and adapt. Due to the nature of the role you will need a driving licence as you will be required to travel to meet suppliers and stakeholders, as well as visiting project sites. 

It is essential that you have excellent interpersonal skills with exceptional analytical skills, including a high level of Excel.
