Caretaker
Part-time - 30 hours working between Monday - Friday

Primaflow have an exciting opportunity for a part time Caretaker to join our fast paced business and friendly team, at our new site Birmingham 100 based in Perry Barr Birmingham, where we work hard to simply deliver more for our customers and colleagues. The new site in Birmingham recently opened in May 2019 and this is a great opportunity to be part of our journey. 

The role we're recruiting for:
You will be responsible for ensuring that the distribution centre is well maintained and free from health and safety issues. 

Your Principal Accountabilities will be:
  • Undertaking duties such as general repairs, cleaning, changing toilet and hand rolls, changing lamps, etc…
  • Managing the disposal of the waste and recycling.
  • Following procedures for managing contractors who are attending the site to undertake works.
  • This must all be undertaken in a safe manner to the job holder and to the staff within the distribution centre.
  • Collecting and delivering archive boxes and confidential paperwork.
  • Responsibility for 2 on site cleaners.
  • Any other duties deemed as required by the Operations General Manager.
It would be great if you had:
Previous work experience of undertaking DIY or handyman jobs, and experience of managing contractors along with being able to complete risk assessments and assessing health and safety issues.

A strong drive and focus to manage and gauge your own performance against the daily plan together with an energetic attitude and team spirit.  You will be able to work in a fast moving environment while working safely, accurately and adhering to company procedures.
