Category/Buying Assistant

If you have drive and ambition and want to become part of a growing team, this is the role for you. The main responsibility of this role is to support the Category Manager in the delivery of Category Strategy targets and objectives within Bathrooms.

The role:

You will provide administration and organisational support to the category management team compiling reports, supplier performance data, updating price guides, setting up new supplier/products on the computer system including pricing and working with marketing to support supplier promotions. It is an exciting role touching all areas of our commercial operation, it's intended this role will be a development role towards progressing into category management.

This diverse role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills including; product management, negotiation and stakeholder management.

What we’re looking for:

To be successful in this role you will ideally have strong communication skills required to interpret customer needs, and enjoy liaising with key stakeholders both internally and externally, ranging from suppliers, branches, and our supply chain & data management teams. You will be managing our data spreadsheets, so will need to be confident in using excel and have good attention to detail, with high levels of accuracy.
