Chief Financial Accountant 
Location - Crick, Northamptonshire

We have a new and exciting opportunity within our Plumbing and Heating division to join the Finance team as a Chief Financial Accountant.

The Role - 
To provide a high quality accounting and financial management service covering all areas of financial operations, ensure that appropriate systems and financial controls are maintained, and produce timely and accurate financial statements and reports.  

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Manage the format, content and preparation of the financial statements ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations
  • Production of Statutory accounts for the business and its subsidiaries
  • Preparation of monthly financial and treasury board reports, including analysis and understanding of trends and anomalies
  • Ownerships and development of the business’ Accounting policies, including maintenance of the business accounting manual
  • Pro-active interpretation, analysis of and advice on the impact of changes in accounting standards
  • Primary source of current and prospective accounting guidance for all P&H businesses and Senior Leadership Team
  • Recruit and lead a team of accountants with responsibilities for Statutory Accounts, Tax, Treasury, Pensions and Cash flow reporting and management
  • Develop the cash flow reporting and education for the business to ensure efficient working capital management
  • Senior Project Leader for all major accounting change and implementation programmes (e.g. IFRS 16)
  • Key contact for the External Audit relationship, managing the annual audit process and liaising with colleagues and auditors
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • Recognised finance qualification, preferably ACA, is essential
  • Experience from having worked in one of the top 4 accounting firms, with a proven record of success
  • Current working knowledge of IFRs ad reporting mechanics
  • Confident communicator with gravitas to be able to present at a senior level
