The TF Solutions business has grown rapidly post acquisition by the TP group in 2017 and has significantly scaled space expansion through 2021.  The business is now one of the leading air conditioning and refrigeration businesses in the UK, offering customers market leading stock availability and outstanding service.  The business has ambitious plans to further accelerate its growth agenda by continuing to expand the number of sites, developing digital capability and extending its product offer.


The opportunity is wide, varied and autonomous! 


Reporting to the Managing Director of TF Solutions, this role is accountable for the development of the commercial strategy for the business.


This role will define the product offer, supply chain requirement as well as the sales and technical strategies to deliver a market leading customer proposition.


What we perceive you will be doing, however, we won’t restrict your ambitions to do more 


  • Ownership of the commercial strategy of the business encompassing ranging, pricing, trading strategy, product development and pre and after sales services.


  • Development of the supply chain strategy for TF, ensuring the optimal balance between branch managed and centrally owned ranges.


  • Working as part of the board team identify future opportunities for growth and strategies for managing risk


  • Lead product innovation for the business, ensuring that the business is first to market with new technology


  • Develop the technical proposition for the business ensuring that the pre and after sales offer across all categories supports our customer requirements


  • Support branches through the provision of product and technical knowledge, allowing them to respond rapidly to any customer queries


  • Build and develop our commercial data plan creating a product hierarchy and data set that provides insight into our commercial strategy whilst supporting this with meaningful MI that allows the board to manage risks and opportunities


  • Nurture and invest in long term strategic partnerships with suppliers ensuring we maintain our reputation and maximise our growth opportunities. 


What experience we feel you will need to bring!


Apart from being brave, inquisitive and a brilliant team player, we think you’ll need to come from a HVAC / Refrigeration background either from merchant, supplier or manufacturing. However, don’t be afraid to put your hat in the ring if you feel your experience could support us grow and develop into the future. 


The other types of characteristics we would like to see are commercial agility, the passion for developing new ideas and ways of working, product opportunities and the foresight to react before our competitors.

Location: We're working to a flexible hybrid model, so your location doesn't really matter. However, we perceive you'll need to get to our offices in Leicester or Northampton. So we feel that commutable locations as the following: - 


Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester, Derby, Nottingham, Northampton, Oxford, Warwick, Milton Keynes, Peterborough, Bedford, Home Counties.


West Midlands, Warwickshire, Nottinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Leicestershire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Derbyshire.
