We at Travis Perkins have an exciting and varied Communications Manager where you’ll be responsible for owning and delivering the Communications strategy, plan and brand across our Group IT and Digital function. We are forever changing as we grow. This means there are various exciting changes from new systems, projects and growth..all happening at once. Things you need to know
- You’ll be joining our HR Team based in our Head Office in Northampton, and you will be frequently engaging with colleagues and external stakeholders to keep them up to date with our agenda and all the great stuff happening in our area.

- You’ll be utilising your strong communication and stakeholder management skills, as you will be sharing our strategy by increasing employee awareness, engagement and promote productivity.  

- Your relationship building and influencing skills will come into their own as you partner and support matrix teams and business leaders with our agenda

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement a communications strategy and plan with a focus on increasing both employee engagement and awareness of local IT & Digital and group strategy.

  • Execute and deliver the comms strategy across a broad range of media including but not limited to email, forums, stand ups and social platforms. Creating consistent communications practices and approach across the function.

  • Develop and maintain the Group IT Google site and content. Ensuring content is refreshed regularly and focuses on positive employee and user engagement levels

  • Create brand guidelines across all internal materials to enhance Group Dig & IT image across all channels

  • Use external benchmarking and best practice to use new and interesting methods of communications tailored to a technology savvy audience

  • Lead and manager local events such as Hackathons, Stand-Ups, Comms Events etc.
