We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contract Sales Manager to cover the North and North East areas. This role is typically managed 3 days out with customers and our branch network and 2 days office based.  You don't need to come from our sector, as we will provide you with the product knowledge you need, through a great onboarding and induction.

The Role
As a Contract Sales Manager, you will work across our largest accounts within sectors such as affordable housing and regional house builders. As well as delivering strong customer service and account management you will proactively generate and cultivate business from new leads, working closely with Travis Perkins counterparts to generate maximum growth.

Reporting directly to the Head of Contract Sales and supported by the wider contract sales operations team, you will be responsible for your region, delivering growth, customer retention and overall customer experience.

Principal Accountabilities 
  • Build a strong sales pipeline within identified regions, by working with Group peers such as TP Regional House Builder and TP Managed Services teams as well as leads generated through own research, customer contact and networking.
  • Accountable for end to end management of tender process, quote management and customer service.
  • Responsible for profitable sales conversion both new business and development of existing accounts.
  • Identify key customer drivers and construct appropriate propositions to capture all relevant spend.
  • Retain and grow existing customer base, ensuring exceptional end-to-end sales management 
  • Working collaboratively with TP Group peers to identify opportunities and where appropriate, jointly target.

What we are looking for
  • At Benchmarx we recognise that diversity is our strength, we don’t require you to have any knowledge in the kitchens and joinery space (although it can help!) but more an outgoing “can-do” attitude as well as a drive to succeed. 
  • Ideally you will have experience within sales as well as experience of managing your own time effectively. 
  • Both these attributes will stand you in good stead to drive sales, engage with new clients and proactively seek out new business. 

We are looking for someone with a passion to take ownership of both your own and your area’s success. This role is ideal for someone who loves to be out on the road, meeting new people and taking ownership of their own success whilst supporting the purpose of the larger business.
