Here at Travis Perkins we have an opportunity for an E-trading Analyst to join our fantastic E-Trading team in Northampton. 

The eTrading Team at Travis Perkins have responsibility for a number of functions. These include understanding and implementing the EDI requirements for setting up new Customers & Suppliers on the EDI solution. They provide value added services for our Customers, Suppliers and business stakeholders. A big part of the role is around the provision of support to the business, IT, branch colleagues  and liaising with various third party providers. 

The successful individual will be required to advise, drive adoption and support the customer and the supplier electronic engagement within the Travis Perkins Group businesses to maximise the effectiveness of Electronic Data Interchange. 

What you’ll do 
  • Engage with potential customers and suppliers and demonstrate the eTrading offering and the benefits this can bring to their organisation. Clearly explain the technical elements of the delivery, the timescales for the EDI onboarding and the level of support that will be received.
  • Maintain, configure, and support EDI interfaces between both business applications and customers.
  • Work with 3rd party vendors,account managers, GTS, and business users to elicit and document requirements, analyse and guide solutions to ensure they meet the business' needs.
  • The eTrading Analyst is the key link between GTS and the National Sales / Managed Services teams.  They need to understand the value of the business to the Travis Perkins Group and guide any tendering discussions to ensure they adopt the standard eTrading service offering.
  • Support in flight projects to ensure eTrading requirements are being captured. Act as the Electronic Data Interchange Subject Matter Expert.
  • The eTrading Analyst will be empowered to question and challenge in a professional manner the deliverables expected by the customer and the business stakeholders. They will assist in providing the right solution for our customers and suppliers. 
  • The eTrading Analyst needs to understand the standard solution offered by GTS and clearly identify and communicate any risks or impacts to any customisation required by the customer / supplier.
  • Strong stakeholder management will be required across all areas mentioned above to ensure that deliverables can be made against SLAs.  Expectations will need to be understood and delivered against with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Ideally we’re looking for 
  • Experience with data interpretation and data analysis
  • Superior customer service skills, preferably in a technical implementation capacity
  • Excellent ability to analyse logically and resolve problems
  • The ability to translate business requirements into technical functional requirements 
  • Highly motivated, organised and methodical with an attention to detail
