- Partnering with stakeholders of all levels across the business and IT to elicit, lead and influence strategy discussions, owning the architectural vision and strategic capabilities for your area of specialisation, leading to the production of road-maps that summarise the required technical and business changes needed to enable the business strategy, and acting as the voice of authority for this area
- Translating the strategic road-map into a project pipeline, collaborating with business stakeholders, Programme Managers, Programme Management Office, Enterprise and Solution Architects to identify, prioritise and outline specific technology investments to be delivered
- Applying expertise and knowledge of technology concepts and trends, competitor activity and the Plumbing & heating businesses, to identify inter-dependencies, gaps, potential threats,redundancy and re-architecture opportunities that could affect timing, benefits realisation, or drive the business strategy in a different direction
- Maintaining and submitting the proposed IT Road-maps for approval to the SLT, leading the associated standardisation efforts and setting the direction for delivery within the IT department
- Shaping, influencing and acting as design authority for new business technology initiatives at inception, to ensure they contribute towards the desired business outcomes and add value
- Providing expert guidance and analysis of business impact of potential changes, solution options, feasibility, and recommendations for future state architecture, taking a holistic view considering both enterprise-wide and broader ecosystem impacts to people, process, commercial and strategy alongside technology
- Analyse emerging technology, market trends, and their potential impacts on the application platform and technology architecture
- A degree in Computer Science (CS, CE, CIS, IS, MIS, or engineering discipline), a related discipline or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 10 years experience working at a senior level within an architecture team
- Experience in developing and defining strategies
- Minimum of 5 Years in global Enterprise Architecture roles with proven success at an Enterprise level
- Multi-disciplined IT professional with experiences spanning Plan/Build/Run
- Experience working in a complex organisation
- Outstanding strategic skills to propose long-term visions and the ability to translate them into actionable roadmaps that are broadly accepted
- Excellent analytical skills, knowledge of business process and capability design and team player, with the ability to interpret business strategies and desired outcomes by creating various deliverables that can be shared across various audiences
- Shape and influence initiatives that ensure alignment with business strategy and the desired business outcomes
- Ability to comprehend the business objectives and the changes to key business processes required to fulfil them as well as the impact on the area of specialisation
- It would be Preferred if you held experience of Architecture Notation - UML
- Experienced in creating Enterprise level deliverables in support of the EA discipline
- Knowledge of modelling tools and industry standard Enterprise Architecture Frameworks, (e.g., Zachman, TOGAF, DODAF)
- Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills across all levels of the business, and ability to adapt style as necessary, translating business needs into EA requirements, and estimate the financial and architectural impact of EA alternatives
- Apply architectural concepts, thinking of the longer term, anticipating the future and ensuring solutions are future proofed as appropriate e.g. scalable, extensible, Total Cost of Ownership, able to move the point of optimisation from project to enterprise
- Courageous, optimistic and driven with a self starter attitude, working independently under minimal guidance using judgement and tact
- Open to challenge and willing to challenge others appropriately and constructively
