Wickes are currently recruiting for an Executive Assistant to join us to look after our newly created PLC Board Team. This is a rare opportunity for an established Executive Assistant to progress and develop your career within our Watford Support Centre. Key responsibilities: Executive Assistant


  • Coordinate and assist with a variety of activities for PLC Executive Board members

  • Co-ordinate meetings, appointments and travel as necessary

  • Handle requests for information and data, a high level of discretion is required due to a variety of confidential information

  • Managing the PLC executive board member’s diaries ensuring all paperwork and administration is complete in advance of any planned meetings

  • Organisation of key internal and external meetings

  • Preparation of presentations, supporting project management and providing various ad hoc support

  • Develop, enhance and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the business

  • Managing multiple inboxes, prioritising as needed

  • Handle requests for information and data, a high level of discretion is required due to a variety of confidential information

  • Perform general administrative and confidential duties

  • Administrative tasks, processing expenses and invoices

  • Providing team support


Skills & Experience
  • Previous PA experience – desirable to have had experience managing more than 1 senior person within a PLC environment
  • Extensive experience with G Suite applications
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities and tight deadlines
  • Proficient with technology
  • Proven influencing skills
  • Able to create and maintain excellent relationships at all levels of the business
  • Flexibility in your role, on occasion you may need to work out of hours
