Fast Track Management Apprenticeship Programme - Tool Hire

Join us as a Fast Track Tool Hire Management Apprentice and you’ll follow a programme that has been designed to build the skills, knowledge and behaviours to manage the Tool Hire Department within one of our Travis Perkins branches. Not only will it accelerate your career, it will also reward you with a nationally recognised qualification.

How will we support you?

Right from the start of your career with us, you’ll be supported in your development. You’ll join our Travis Perkins Certificate in Tool Hire for the first 12-15 months where you’ll build up technical knowledge on our tools and equipment ranges and a strong understanding of our business so that you can confidently and safely serve our customers and develop lasting and profitable relationships with them.

If you have the drive and ambition to develop your career further then you can progress onto our Level 3 Management Programme, where you’ll focus on developing your skills as a leader. You’ll learn about different leadership techniques, allowing you to pick the one you think will work best for you. 

Through 1:1 coaching, mentoring, digital study and technical and skills training, you’ve got a fantastic support network that will support you, not only through the apprenticeship programme, but your day to day development to enable you to progress to a management position. Our Apprenticeships are focused on your development and factor study time into your working week, so you can achieve your qualification without affecting your work-life balance.

You don’t need any previous experience to be considered for our Fast Track Tool Hire Management Apprenticeship but for the best chance of securing yourself a place you’ll need to be someone who:

• Knows what great customer service looks like – and how to provide it

• Is able to build relationships with people at all levels and enjoys working within a sales environment

• Loves to learn, develop and expand their knowledge and self develop themselves

• Is willing to travel, and be flexible in terms of location

• Holds a full UK driving licence
