Finance Accounts Assistant

As a Finance Accounts Assistant at BSS you will work within a small team to provide support creating management accounts, incorporating control and maintaining the balance sheet. Location: Once your training is complete this will be a hybrid role, where you will be required to visit the office in Coventry once a week. 

What you’ll do:

• You will be involved with the month end process, including accruals, payments and assisting with the preparation and posting of journals. 

• Assist with P&L cost reviews, updating cash books and completing bank reconciliations. 

• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring balances and movements are understood and supported with backing schedules

• You will complete month end reporting including intercompany matrix 

• Provide support and analysis to a variety of stakeholders within the BSS business and wider group and support with External auditors, providing the necessary support and documentation

• You will deal with any invoice queries and raise non-trade related invoices. 

Is this you

• Previous Management accounts experience 

• Experienced in working within a multi site branch operations business

• Strong communication skills and the ability to establish influential relationships across the business 

• The ability to develop and make improvements to existing process and methods

• Part Qualified Accountant or have a recognised Accountancy qualification such as AAT

• Excellent Microsoft Excel and Google Sheet skills, including experience using pivot tables, sumifs and vlookups.
