We at Travis Perkins - Plumbing & Heating division are looking to recruit a Finance Analyst to join the P&H Claimbacks team based in Northampton.

Joining us as a Finance Analyst within the Claimbacks finance team, means joining a team of dedicated finance colleagues; where we value innovative thoughts and a collaborative desire to continue with our business success. As our new Claimbacks Finance Analyst, you’ll lead the accounting processes associated with this stream of supplier income as well as manage the process and financial analysis pertaining to a manual claims process.

In addition to the above, you’ll also be responsible for:

• Identifying and raising manual claims to suppliers for amounts not previously claimed or underclaimed via system generated processes

• Ensuring that any process or contract issues resulting in manual claims are fixed at source.  This will require working extensively with other internal departments

• Overseeing the supplier cash allocation work carried out by two Finance Administrators within the team and therefore ensuring that the debtor position is as up to date as it can be

• Providing some clear reporting and development of KPIs for supplier claimbacks

• Managing the calculation of provision against debt and reporting on potential risk and opportunities

• Maintaining integrity of the accounts by ensuring that the claimback debtors ledger is reconciled to the general ledger on a monthly basis

• Promoting a culture of continuous improvement by looking at ways of improving current end to end processes resulting in a reduction to manual claims raised

• Supporting other members of the team in resolving supplier queries

What we are looking for:

• Qualified to AAT level

• Experience of using a range of systems or databases to extract relevant information

• Good understanding of accounting processes and procedures in relation to debtor balances

• Great communication skills and internal and external stakeholder management

• Strong Excel skills are essential

• Team player, with desire to develop
