We are looking for individuals that have a desire to increase their profile and deliver our new finance system.  It’s a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and career, while being at the heart of a fundamental step forward for the Travis Perkins Group.
 
This is a Fixed Term opportunity for 24 months to join as a Finance Analysts which will be part of the Finance Modernisation team working in the Accounting, Inventory, Reporting and Procure to Pay workstreams. You will work closely with each business unit across the group to ensure that we arrive at the right Operating Model for finance and achieve a successful implementation of the Oracle cloud finance solution. The roles are home based but you  may need to go into head office in Northampton with 1-2 days in the office per week. 
 
What you’ll do

Reporting into the relevant Finance Manager, this is an excellent opportunity to help improve the way finance operates and supports the business.  Bringing increased simplicity and control to processes and also transparency of financials to the wider business.  You will have exposure to senior stakeholders and excellent visibility across the Travis Perkins Group.
 
Your key accountabilities for your workstream will include:
- Supporting the definition of future finance processes in conjunction with the finance teams across the group
- Planning and delivery of analysis from the design phase through to implementation
- Supporting system testing e.g. working with the test team to define test scripts, reporting on test script execution,identifying gaps, resolving defects. 
- Data migration analysis to ensure information from our current system is correctly transferred to the new system and is of high quality
- Assist in the production and delivery of training materials
- Proactively flagging and working to resolve gaps and issues in the program

To be considered, you’ll need to enjoy performing complex data analysis and explaining the output to a diverse stakeholder group. You should have an understanding of finance, and the desire to unravel some of our current systems so that they are ready for the future.
