We are looking for an individual that has the desire to increase their profile and help deliver our new finance system.  It’s a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and career, while being at the heart of a fundamental step forward for the Travis Perkins Group.
 
This is a Fixed Term opportunity for 15 months to join as a Finance Data Analyst which will be part of the Finance Modernisation team working in the Reporting workstream. You will work closely with each business unit across the group to ensure that we deliver fit for the future reporting for finance and achieve a successful implementation of the Oracle cloud finance solution. The role is home based but you may need to go into head office in Northampton with 1-2 days in the office per week. 
 
What you’ll do

Working within the Reporting workstream, this is an excellent opportunity to help improve the way finance operates and supports the business.  Bringing increased simplicity and control to processes and also transparency of financials to the wider business.  You will have exposure to senior stakeholders and excellent visibility across the Travis Perkins Group.
 
Your key accountabilities will include:
- Assisting with the seamless transition and implementation of all relevant financial reporting.
- Determine the best source and solution to meet desired reporting outcomes.
- Designing, developing and testing fully automated reports and dashboard solutions.
- Aligning to the group reporting strategy, ensure that all data impacted by the implementation of the finance system are available in the required format to add value to users.
- In collaboration with Group FP&A, assist with the delivery of a new finance reporting suite. This will be a rationalised and homogenised reporting suite, fit for the future.
- Collaborate with the data workstream to identify key business data objects and business rules for system implementation.
- Building strong relationships with project workstreams and stakeholders within the business to ensure all reporting requirements are appropriately captured.- 

Is this you?

To be considered, you’ll need to:

- Have experience of using SQL and data analytics/visualisation platforms (e.g. Google Data Studio, Google Looker, Tableau, PowerBI).
- Enjoy performing data manipulation and visualisation.
- Have an understanding of accounting and financial reporting.
- Have a desire to understand and improve current financial reporting processes and outputs.
