Are you a Qualified Accountant looking for a challenging opportunity within a highly commercial environment? 

We have an opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our Financial Planning & Control team based at our Plumbing & Heating head office in Crick. Reporting into the Chief Accountant, this is a critical role where you will be accountable for the preparation of accurate, high quality internal and external consolidated financial information which complies with the business's accounting policies and applicable accounting standards. 

Your key accountabilities will include:

• Monthly consolidation process, associated controls and documentation supported by the Central Financial Reporting Accountant and the Central Finance Analyst in the preparation of the consolidation.

• The production of the consolidated financial statements of the Plumbing & Heating business in line with applicable accounting standards.

•  Preparation of internal reporting financial information for the Senior Leadership Team.

• Implementing and improving the business’s consolidation processes. Working with stakeholders from across the finance team and wider business to introduce improvements to the business’s information and processes used to ensure accurate consolidated financial information. 

• Maintenance of the Plumbing and Heating Accounting Manual and communication of the impact of changes to wider Finance team and Leadership team.  

• Managing the overall external audit process with the business’s auditors.

• Accountable for the development of the Central Finance Analyst.

• Accounting lead on ad hoc projects as required e.g. implementation of new accounting standard/M&A activity. 

What we are looking for:

• A qualified accountant (preferably ACA) with experience of having worked for a top 10 accounting firm as well as a proven record of success & experience working with large businesses.

• The ability to interpret and apply the complexities of the accounting standards.

• Clear knowledge and understanding of consolidation accounting, IFRS and FRS 102 and audit project management.
