Contracts Finance Manager

We are looking to recruit a Contracts Finance Manager to join the Travis Perkins Contracts division based in Leicester. Reporting into the Divisional Finance Director, you will be responsible for the overall management and continuous development of the Operational Compliance Support team (OCS). You will work closely with the Divisional Finance Director and provide support in the monthly reporting cycle including budgets, forecasts and 5 year plans and you will be the financial business partner for the Divisional Tool Hire team.
Key accountabilities include:
Providing OCS insight to all three Contract division Business units via Managing Directors and Regional Directors, to ensure there is a continual improvement in the average compliance score within each BU.
Producing a monthly MI pack for the division, with ownership of the divisional overview. You will strive to continually improve the reporting pack to ensure that it is driving improvements in business performance of each BU.
Business partnering with the Divisional Tool Hire Director (DTHD), ensuring strong commercial finance support to assist in decision making and supporting the DTHD in developing strategic plans and delivery against these plans.
Supporting the Contracts Divisional Finance Director in consolidation and preparation of the 5 year strategic plan and the AOP process. The role will need to work with the business units Finance Directors, challenge the assumptions and ensure that all submissions to Group happen in an accurate and timely manner.
Ensuring consistency across all reporting from the OCS department, with reviews and challenges to team members on report production. Continual critique of production to ensure that the team are delivering to the needs of the business whilst maintaining the required independent status.
Management and development of a team of three OCS, ensuring all team members have two reviews each year and all have documented development plans
Financially supporting the divisional resources (Group sales, Supply chain, Tool hire and HR) in all financial matters, covering monthly reporting, AOP production and 5 year plan support. Ensuring financial support in all major decision making.
Various ad-hoc projects for OCS, divisional finance and Tool Hire teams as directed by the Contracts DFD and own initiative projects to help improve the service offered to Group and the division.

It is also a requirement that you will hold a recognised accountancy qualification. Your communication and interpersonal skills will be excellent to allow you to successfully engage with customers and colleagues alike across the contracts division and the wider Travis Perkins Group. Your organisational and time management skills will also be strong as you drive the business forward by providing professional financial analysis.
