Group Financial Accountant

Are you a qualified accountant looking for an exciting and challenging opportunity? We at Rudridge are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join our Head Office based in Farnham, Surrey.  Supporting the Head of Finance, you will support in the delivery of Rudridge’s ambitious strategic plan through the provision of business insight and analysis - therefore maximising opportunities and mitigate business risk in an ever changing trading environment.

Key accountabilities include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and other monthly reports, including Balance Sheet and Inter-company reconciliations. Also prepare the quarterly VAT return.

• Create and share relevant management information reports with key Rudridge stakeholders including branch and sales teams. Highlighting business performance challenges and opportunities to improve sales, margins and operational efficiencies

• Assist the Head of Finance with the preparation of quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and 3 year strategic plans, developing an understanding of the business to feed in relevant financial information in these group submissions.

• Ownership of the monthly payroll file, preparing data in accordance with company policy and submitting through to Group payroll services.

• Work with Internal and external stake holders where relevant, including (but not limited to) internal and external auditors, Travis Perkins PLC finance and other group functions.

• Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts.  

• Act as line manager for the Finance Assistant, providing management, direction and support where required.

• Project work and ad-hoc tasks as required

To be considered, you will ideally be AAT qualified with experience within industry. It is also important to have strong excel skills as this role has a strong excel focus.
