HGV Driver Class 2

Joining our friendly and hardworking team as a HGV CLASS 2 Driver, you'll be on the front line dealing with orders, deliveries and stock coming in and out of the business. As part of the branch team, you will play a vital role in our continued success, providing a first class service.

What will I be doing?

You’ll be carrying out multi-drop deliveries of building materials (Mainly plasterboard and sometimes other general building products) from our branch to our local customers in a safe and professional manner. It’ll be your responsibility to ensure the vehicle is properly loaded, safe and in-line with road and transport legislation. 

The successful candidate will be safety focussed, ensuring work is completed in a safe and professional manner. Our drivers are passionate about what we do and delivering for our customers, we want like minded drivers to join our team with the same mindset and ambition.

As well as this, you will be having credible conversations with our customers, as you join us to be the face of our branch. We will continuously aim to provide a great reliable delivery service, completed to a high standard… Every time!

Who we are?

For this role you will be joining the team in St Pancras Travis Perkins . This is a well established team of 25, with a competitive mindset. They deal with a lot of customers in a day. Joining this team you will be placed in a fast paced environment and will be at the forefront of our business with this customer facing role.. The team is very friendly and has a mix of experience within the team, however the members with little to none who have been taken under their wing still are as valued as the people who have been there for years. They strive to make sure their service is the best in town. With local competition we are looking for somebody who can bring enthusiasm and drive to our team to make the branch complete. With our very close knit team and loyal customer base this would be the perfect opportunity for someone to get their foot in the door.  With a full tool hire, 2 HGV, 2 flat beds and a tool hire truck, where better to gain exposure and develop your career. Experience with multi drop driving would be advantageous. We also want someone with the right attitude towards our branch culture and safety!!
