Hire Controller – National Hire Desk

Location: Travis Perkins, 42 Sandhills Lane, Liverpool, L5 9XN

Working Hours: 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday

Are you organised, great on the phone, and helpful to customers?

Join our Hire Desk team in Liverpool as a Hire Controller. In this role, you will help our national customers get the equipment and tools they need for their building projects across the UK.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                          What You’ll Be Doing                                                                                                                                                                               

• You will be the main point of contact between our customers, our local branches, and our delivery drivers.
• Your main duties will include:
• Answering phone calls and emails from customers to take tool and equipment hire orders.
• Managing orders from start to finish, from giving quotes to arranging deliveries, collections, and returns.
• Working closely with branch staff, drivers, and suppliers to make sure tools are ready on time.
• Solving any delivery or equipment issues quickly to keep customers happy.
• Making calls to existing and prospective customers to let them know about our hire services.
• Helping the team hit sales targets by offering the right products at the right prices.

• Experience dealing with customers over the phone or by email in a busy job.
• Able to multitask and stay calm when things get busy.
• Friendly, clear, and professional when talking to colleagues and customers.
• A positive attitude with a drive to learn new skills.
