We have an exciting opportunity for a fresh thinking HSE Professional to join the HSE team at Travis Perkins plc as a HSE Improvement Specialist supporting our Tool Hire Businesses. If you are looking for your next challenge we want to hear from you! 

What you’ll do

As the subject matter expert for all HS&E matters relating to Tool Hire Operations, you will provide support to the Tool Hire Leadership Teams across our Travis Perkins, Keyline, BSS & CCF businesses. 

Working with the Head of HSE and business unit leadership teams, you will develop and implement HS&E plans for each Tool Hire business inline with the Groups strategy. It will be important for you to build strong relationships with the Hire Leaders across the business to enable you to constructively and effectively challenge their HS&E performance and risk management along with the Head of HS&E. 

Along with the above you will - 

- Drive consistency of approach to Tool Hire HS&E systems and programmes across Travis Perkins, Keyline, BSS & CCF Hire Operations.
- Support the Tool Hire Regional Managing Director in Travis Perkins to run the Tool Hire Safety,  Transport and Well Being forum making sure all businesses are represented.
- Put in place and then maintain oversight of the HS&EQ aspects of the Rehire Supplier process
- Implement nationally agreed HS&E improvement programmes and manage the development of them accordingly 

Is this you?

Given the risk levels of our businesses we are particularly keen to hear from HSE professionals that hold a minimum of a NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and at least Grad IOSH status. 
To be considered for this role you will ideally have experience of working in the Hire Industry and three years post qualification experience in a medium to high risk business.
Within this role you will need to be an excellent communicator where you can build relationships with senior leaders and our frontline colleagues. Other attributes you might have is an engaging style, strong influencer, delivering impact, a coaching style and personal resilience.
