Travis Perkins IT team is currently looking to strengthen its IS capabilities and is wanting to recruit an Information Security Analyst to lead and improve the maturity of security operations functions. This is a great opportunity for someone to come and join the IT Security Team here in Northampton and play a vital role in proactively protecting Travis Perkins information systems and company data.

What you’ll do

You will ensure the smooth functioning of, and act as subject matter expert for security operational activities relating to on-premises services as well as cloud-based SAAS, PAAS and IAAS. You will manage the security incidents,  communicate the issues and operational control requirements to service owners, so as to inform operational risk treatment decisions.

As an Information Security Analyst you will be responsible for configure, tune and improve the effectiveness of security and privacy software/tools/features used to enforce technical security controls and privacy processes in the Group. 

You will manage and investigate Information Security events and issues, collaborating the SOC and other team members in accordance with agreed processes/procedures. Assist in the improvement of Information Security policies, compliance measures and tooling, working within the Information Security team on relevant quality and process improvement initiatives, so as to increase control effectiveness.


Is this you?

You will act as the subject matter expert and will be responsible for ensuring effective compliance levels are maintained for the Group with
regards to PCI-DSS, GDPR/Data Protection Act, Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001 standards, so you will need experience within these area's.

You will need experience in incident, vulnerability, threat and risk management within any of the following - Nessus, Splunk admin and development or similar other SIEM knowledge, cloud security measures (AWS and/or GCP), Incident handling, change review and approval. You will need evidence of continuing interest and knowledge building in cybersecurity and show willingness to take on new challenges.
