What you'll do

Flexible hybrid working with occasional travel to Bridgwater and Northampton

 

As a Junior E-commerce Merchandiser, you’ll support the Digital Merchandising team in driving performance across the Toolstation website and app. You’ll manage a number of product categories, analyse sales performance, optimise product presentation and help deliver a seamless customer experience. 

 

This role is ideal for someone with experience in digital merchandising who is keen to use their initiative, take accountability and develop their potential as part of a supportive team. It is particularly suited to someone currently working as a Junior E-commerce Merchandiser, Online Merchandising Assistant, Digital Merchandising Assistant or in a similar role, who is looking to take the next step in their career.


Day to Day

- Support the ecommerce merchandising function in the weekly trading of digital departments.

- Produce and manage weekly performance analysis, sharing insights and recommendations with the team.

- Analyse, optimise and maintain product categories, using data to inform changes across the website and app.

- Create and manage the upload of campaigns, deals and new products to the website and app.

- Build and maintain landing pages to support campaign and promotional activity.

- Own the implementation and accuracy of website and app signposting, ensuring a clear and customer-focused experience.

- Maintain shared merchandising plans and ensure updates are delivered accurately and on time.

- Review the customer journey, identifying friction points and feeding improvement opportunities back to Merchandisers and Merchandising Managers.

- Monitor competitor digital activity, trends and functionality, feeding insights back into the team.

- Keep up to date with search trends within your categories and use insights to inform optimisation opportunities.

- Build strong relationships with teams across the business to support collaborative working and shared goals.




What you'll bring

- Some experience working in e-commerce or digital merchandising.
- Confidence in the basic principles of a Search and Merchandising tool.
- Strong analytical skills with proven experience of analysing data and producing reports.
- Comfortable working with numbers, technical tools and digital systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

 

Beneficial (but not essential):

-  Basic HTML knowledge.

- Experience using a CMS and/or PIM system.
