Are you customer and sales focused with a creative flair? Do you like working with a variety of different people and building long term relationships? Then we may have the perfect opportunity for you, a Kitchen Design Apprentice.   Previous industry knowledge is not essential for this role and we will provide the training and support you need to become an expert Kitchen Designer. We are planning for the long term, so the role and responsibilities can evolve at your pace, giving you the opportunity to grow and progress with Benchmarx.

Our Burnley branch is based at Accrington Road, Burnley, BB11 5AL.  This is a busy branch and the Branch Manager has created a fun and professional environment, so you will be in great hands.

Hours of work: Our working hours also offer a great work life balance - your working week will be Monday to Friday  7.30am - 5.00pm and every other Saturday morning 8.00am-12.00pm  (you only work 2 in 4)

What experience do you need?
Having a Full UK Drivers licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role as you will be required to travel locally. (If you are close to taking your test, please still apply.) 

What will I be doing?
As a Kitchen Design Apprentice:
  • You’ll be at the heart of the business supporting the branch in delivering sales & profit. You will work closely with customers listening carefully to what they want and understand their needs. You’ll visit customers’ homes or building sites, draw up inspirational designs on CAD and present them to the customers. Whilst offering competitive quotes, you will use your negotiation skills to maximise sales for further growth on margin. Being a target driven role, you will manage and seek out your own sales leads.

How will we support you?
  • The 12 month apprenticeship programme teaches you to be a great kitchen designer within our business, pulling together CAD training, inspiration design and product knowledge training to provide our valued customers with the best possible service. 
  • Upon completion, you will be rewarded with a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Furniture Design. 
  • Our Apprenticeships are focused on your development and factor study time into your working week, so you can achieve your qualification without affecting your work-life balance. We provide you with a fantastic support network through; 1:1 coaching, mentoring and technical and skills training to enable you to progress your career with us. 
  • Along the way, our experienced team will provide you with plenty of support to ensure you get the best out of your Apprenticeship. And it doesn’t have to end here, as we have a suite of Apprenticeship programmes that can support you to continue to develop your career with us, all the way up to the Boardroom.
