Job Description

Wickes are a digitally led, service enabled organisation with a project in every home.

Role Purpose:

Provides up to date, relevant learning tools across different platforms including logistics and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quarterly review, produce and update training material to be hosted on all  L&D platforms. Content to be focused on behavioural learning, soft skills and business need learning.  All changes to be tracked in a central document - 4 times a year. Use of a training needs analysis to be used twice a year to capture feedback and changes from the business. Create and send out the comms that support the activities.

  • Heavily support the LDBP with the new induction strategy.  Support with forums and creation of a new world approach to induction. Liaise with the resourcing team to incorporate onboarding into the induction and new colleague experience.

  • To be responsible for coordinating all L&D  training events and logistics. Relaunch and maintain the L&D calendar. Support with the creation of insight profiles and team wheels.

  • Manage the DC induction process.  Look to simplify and streamline the existing process to drive a self-sufficient DC population.  Work with the K&B team to consistently improve the quality of the induction courses and materials.

  • Support the L&D partner with the execution of the L&D plan year on year. Create and maintain a training matrix to record all colleagues and their training journey. Start with Support Centre and then capture the information for the rest of the business.

  • To introduce a robust evaluation process post all development courses.  Gather the data and identify areas for improvement for all new and existing courses run at Wickes.

  • Drive  the apprenticeship programme for Wickes with a focus on key metrics

  • To be involved in different areas of design.  Creating content for the L&D website and any ad-hoc learning that is required.

What are we looking for?

  • Ideally 2 years working in a training / L&D environment.

  • L&D delivery experience (preferred)

  • Exceptional organisational skills.

  • Great attention to detail.

  • Flexible with a can-do approach.

  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • Understands a blended approach to learning
