We have a newly created opportunity to join the Travis Perkins Group as our Lead HSE Advisor, leading a team of 12 HSE Advisors spread across the UK with responsibility to provide competent advice to our Branch and Store network helping ensure everyone goes home safe and well every single day.  

What you’ll do

As the Lead HSE Advisor for the Group, you will report to the Group HSE & Fleet Director and be a member of the Group’s HSE Leadership Team.  You will lead the shared service branch support team and, for the right person, the opportunity in time to ‘business partner’ one of our Trade Businesses.

It is crucial that you spend time with your team to mentor, develop and share your knowledge so they become a strong and high performing team of HSE Advisors. You’ll be responsible for ensuring your team provide support to our branches across the following areas:

- Second Line of Defence assurance visits
- Supporting Regional Directors with accurate and timely incident investigations.
- Help Branch Managers and Regional Directors solve local Health and Safety issues
- Deliver effective lost time injury case management
- Provide data capture services in support of HSE improvement programmes
- Deliver virtual HSE training courses

Is this you?
You’ll need a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and hold Chartered Status of IOSH (or be very close to achieving it).   Ideally you will have significant experience in a medium to high risk multi-site business.  It would be great if you have managed a team before and come across as personable and approachable with good communication skills that develop strong relationships with stakeholders.
