Do you have the passion and desire to work in an in-house legal department? Then you are important to us...Travis Perkins are currently seeking a Litigation Executive's to join the busy Corporate Recoveries Department in the General Counsel Office, currently remotely working from home but once or twice a week based in our Head Office in Lodge Farm - Northampton. 

What you’ll do

You will be joining a highly motivated team, where you will seek to recover debts arising from credit accounts and personal guarantees.  With your excellent communication and organisational skills, you will pursue the recovery of debts arising as a result of non payment of credit accounts.
As a case handler you will deal with pre action accounts, negotiate settlement wherever possible, deal with civil proceedings and insolvency, and use other various enforcement measures to recover debts.
You will be expected to network and build relations with central and divisional functions and as part of this, you will be providing commercial and pragmatic legal advice to support and mitigate the risks to our trade-focused businesses and central functions.

Is this you?

You’ll either have a Credit/legal office background or hold a Law Degree or equivalent qualification and will be able to put your legal knowledge into practise on a daily basis. With your excellent communication skills, you will build relationships within the business and with our customers, ensuring you tailor the technical legal advice/support to the relevant audience.  
Your legal knowledge and ability to follow process will be vital to our success. This is a fast paced but welcoming environment, and you should be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and decision making skills.
