Within this role, you will take responsibility for our Tool Hire department within the branch. With our award winning training and development programmes, we will support you to build the technical skill set you need to be successful in the role. All we’re looking for from you is drive, ambition and a passion for sales.
The role
Within this role you will support and develop your team of Tool Hire colleagues to ensure they are able to provide a quality service to our customers at all times. You’ll draw upon your previous sales experience to develop an action plan for the department, that will allow your team to achieve and exceed the agreed targets. To ensure the safety of our customers, and our colleagues, you and your team will keep our tools properly maintained and in perfect working order – all within health and safety requirements and with the correct documentation.

Right from the start of your career with us, you’ll be supported in your development. You’ll join our Tool Hire Apprenticeship Programme, a 12 month Apprenticeship that will give you the tools to be successful in your role and will reward you with a nationally recognised qualification. Over the length of your apprenticeship programme, you’ll explore:

Our Apprenticeships are focused on your development and factor study time into your working week, so you can achieve your qualification without affecting your work-life balance. We provide you with a fantastic support network through; 1:1 coaching, mentoring and technical and skills training to enable you to progress your career with us. Along the way, our experienced team will provide you with plenty of support to ensure you get the best out of your Apprenticeship. And it doesn’t have to end here, as we have a suite of Apprenticeship programmes that can support you to continue to develop your career with us, all the way up to the Boardroom.

We’re looking for individuals who are keen to immerse themselves within our business and who show the potential to be future leaders. We’ll teach you the knowledge and skills you need to be great within this role but on top of that you will be;
A natural people person – great with customers and colleagues alike
Someone with the ability to learn new systems and skills quickly
Someone who is sales driven and has proven experience within a sales role

BSS Industrial - we are a leading distributor of heating, pipeline, process and mechanical services equipment to the Building Services and Industrial sectors. Established over 110 years ago, we became a part of the Travis Perkins Group in 2010 and now have more than 60 BSS branches, along with a National Distribution Centre at Lutterworth in the East Midlands and a National Tube Distribution Centre in Coventry.
