Operations Finance Business Partner

Operations Finance Business Partner - Based in Crick (Junction 18 of the M1) Plumbing and Heating Division.

Travis Perkins are currently recruiting for a Operations Finance Business Partner within our Plumbing and Heating Division.  It’s an exciting time to be joining the division as we embark on a 3 year transformation journey to create a stronger, efficient and more profitable business. We are looking for an ambitious Operations Finance Business Partner to provide support and challenge to the Operations team through provision of business insight, KPIs and measurement to allow the operators to maximise opportunities, improve efficiency and mitigate business risk in an ever changing trading environment.

Principle Accountabilities:

• Provide business partnering support to the Operations Director, the Operations general managers and their teams to lead to better decision making and operational compliance

• Help the business better understand its cost to serve and the drivers of its costs to lead to improved decision making including around product pricing, stock holding levels and areas of focus for operational efficiency

• Drive investigations of cost variances to budgets and forecasts, understand drivers and propose resolving actions

• Support with stock investment decisions

• Support areas of operations to ensure compliance with procedures, particularly in areas of stock counts, cost approvals & admin related processes (eg supplier returns, customer returns, credits etc)

• Support with implementation of strategic projects which impact operations

• Challenge areas for cost reductions, including supplier rationalisation opportunities and support the operations teams with implementation

• Support supply chain decision making to help minimise excess and aged stock and drive optimal stock holding levels

It would be great if you had…

To be considered, you will be qualified in an accountancy qualification.

You’ll hold the ability to interpret data into action orientated insights. Advanced excel skills and strong commercial thought process will be required.

Proven experience  of being able to communicate with finance and non-finance people.

As our Operations Finance Business Partner you will have the ability to manage conflicting priorities and challenge status quo.
