Are you looking for a new career opportunity, do you enjoy working in a sales environment that is customer-led?  Do you have supervisory or management experience as well as a knowledge of all things plumbing & heating? We are looking for a Plumbing and Heating Manager.

You will be joining our branch in Wickford Robert Way,, There is already a fantastic, well-established team of 21 colleagues, and we also have a successful Tool Hire department. You will have 1 colleague in P+H that will report to you and the branch operates its own P+H Department. You will also be dealing with our managed service boiler contracts and taking leadership of those. The Branch Manager has created a fun, friendly, and professional atmosphere, so you will be in great hands.  

As the Plumbing and Heating Manager you will support your Branch Manager and play a vital role in our continued success. You’ll support the delivery of our better for colleagues, better for customers strategy at a local level through amazing operational effectiveness and, together, you will lead your teams making sure we are working better for our customers, providing a first-class service, and keeping colleagues and customers safe at all times.

Hours - Monday - Friday 7.00am-4:30pm and Saturdays as and when required.

What will I be doing?

  • Our success is built on strong relationships with our Trade customers, some we know on a first-name basis, so it’s essential to be helpful and friendly at all times.
  • With your new expertise and knowledge of products and services we offer, you’ll be on the front line and a pivotal contact for new and existing customers, nurturing great relationships, understanding their needs in order to offer expert advice and recommending alternatives to meet their individual needs and maximize the sale of goods.
  • Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that all our colleagues and customers leave the Branch safely, by adhering to all stay-safe policies and procedures.
What experience do you need?
  • With 100,000 product lines, previous experience within the Plumbing and Heating sector is desirable, but what we really need is a great attitude, hunger to learn and transferable skills for great sales and customer service.
