Principal Software Engineer/ Specialised Full Stack Developer
Location - Ossett, West Yorkshire

Background:

The ProjectBUILDER platform provides market leading project and compliance management software with innovative finance solutions; enabling installers to access new markets and streamline their business processes

The software allows both large contractors and local SMEs, regardless of the size of their business, to implement a full end-to-end workflow solution from enquiry to survey through to installation.
Built with site activity in mind the software supports field based technical surveys and data gathering.


The responsibilities of the job will include:

 

•              Design and update system architecture, build and maintain web applications and a wide
               range of complex system integrations

•              Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications

•              Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features

•              Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs

•              Help maintain code quality, organisation, and automatisation



What we are looking for : 

The applicant will be educated to a high level to include an IT or IT engineering related honours or masters degree. 5 years minimum PQE desirable and have the following skills:



•              A strong, motivated, technical leader who loves to problem solve

•              Expert knowledge of C#, JavaScript, Java and Python, including RESTful APIs

•              Expert Knowledge of AWS and Microsoft Azure services

•              Extensive experience in TDD, task estimation and sprint planning

•              Strong understanding of security, optimisation and caching

•              Excellent knowledge of best practices and modern-day design patterns, including                         Micro Services, ORM, Serverless Functions.

•              Solid knowledge around DevOps, particularly Continuous Integration, auto-build 
               and auto-deployment technologies like VSTS, Bamboo, Jenkins, Octopus,

•              Solid knowledge on Unit Testing and Automated Testing and successful                                        implementation of this.

•              Expert in Docker, Containers and are familiar with Kubernetes

•              Well versed in Agile methodologies and ceremonies

•              Expert in windows and Linux platforms

•              Good understanding of Native IOS and Android platforms

•              Expert in BreeezeJS, ReactJS, AngularJS and Angular 2+

•              Expert in ASP .NET MVC6 and NodeJS

•              Solid experience in Software Development, Design and Architecture

•              Strong knowledge and application of software design patterns

•              Excellent practical knowledge of OOP concepts and SOLID principles

•              Solid understanding of HTTP and RESTful design

•              Strong experience with SQL Server 2014+ and NoSQL like MongoDB and RavenDB

•              Solid knowledge on Unit Testing and Automated Testing and successful                                       implementation of this

•              Strong experience with common web application security issues

•              Expert in Identity server 4

•              Strong Experience with ORM like Entity Framework Core and dappet.net

•              Strong experience in HTML5, CSS3 and bootstrap

•              Experience of database design would be good
