Project / Portfolio Analyst

What will you do? As a Project / Portfolio Analyst in Group Technology Services (GTS) you will support effective and efficient delivery of projects in the function. 

In this role you will:

• Offer guidance and support on project governance and processes across multiple teams

• Provide specific expertise to projects to ensure plans, budget and scope align to departmental principles and constraints

• Exploit Project Management tools to provide Management Information that is always available, on demand and correct at point of use

• Take meaningful proactive action, based on MI, to highlight projects that need additional attention and support

• Drive continuous improvement behaviours across projects to ensure governance drives benefit and is not burdensome

• Promote the use of Project Management tooling by sharing best practices and innovation across the department

About you:

You will ideally have

• experience of working in a project environment (PMO, Project Support, Project Manager)

• experience of using Project and Portfolio Management tools

• excellent communication skills and ability to use management information to drive improvements

• excellent problem solving skills, with a supportive customer first approach

• the ability to provide appropriate challenge at all levels
